About
since 2012
Malika Kraamer is an all-round Dutch language teacher who teaches both face-to-face and online. She works with students of all levels and backgrounds, including literacy learners, beginners and post-beginners (A1 & A2), and intermediate students (B1 & B2) in both individual and group settings.
She has been teaching Dutch since 2012 at Languages at Leicester, University of Leicester, initially face-to-face and later transitioning to online teaching in 2020. Trained as a cultural historian in West African textiles with a PhD from SOAS, University of London, she branched into Dutch language teaching in 2012, combining it with her work as curator of world cultures at Leicester Museums and later as curator of the Africa collections at MARKK, Hamburg. In the UK, she obtained teaching qualifications and attended numerous training sessions for language teachers.
In 2025, she relocated to the Netherlands and earned her NT2 certificate for teaching Dutch as a second language while teaching at a refugee centre in South Holland. She now teaches Dutch four days a week, both privately and at Sagenn Rotterdam. She has also served as an assessor of Dutch language for the GCSE examinations.
We look forward to welcome you as a student.
